At CAST Centers, we know that everyone’s recovery is different. We offer support and guidance no matter where a person is in their recovery journey. Our evening Intensive Outpatient programs in Los Angeles are based on our clinical expertise, proven research, and feedback from our clients.
LUNA combines evidence-based-treatment, a dedicated team of specialists, and easy access to a virtual platform in order to provide positive outcomes in a convenient way.
LUNA evening intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Los Angeles offers a unique telehealth treatment approach for substance use disorders. LUNA is also useful in managing anxiety, depression, bipolar, and dual diagnosis.
This virtual treatment is not widely available. The evening LUNA program offers a combination of evidence-based practices, educational resources, and discussion. LUNA was developed to foster a sense of connection for clients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.
While clients meet in a virtual space, detailed efforts are made to cultivate a community where clients can prioritize treatment and recovery. Using this approach, they build healthy coping skills while working to eliminate patterns of behavior that impact progress. The LUNA evening IOP at Cast Centers delivers care no matter where someone is.
LUNA IOP clients include a range of individuals from working professionals, to students, or caregivers. It is also available to those living within the state of California, who may not have local access to treatment. There is no one-size-fits-all model for treatment.
For this reason, the team at CAST Centers is committed to providing a clinical treatment plan based on the needs of each incoming client. The LUNA program may be suitable for individuals who have not yet had to go to a higher level of care. This would include detox, residential inpatient treatment, or partial hospitalization program (PHP), for example.
By taking action now and getting help before the situation gets worse, clients may prevent the need to go to a higher level of care.
There are many options for addiction treatment that offer different levels of care. An evening IOP offers similar treatment to a day IOP. However, it differs from it as it caters to people who have family, school, or work commitments during the day.
Participation in LUNA evening IOP helps clients continue their recovery journey by extending progress made in previous levels of care or treatment programs.

Now Offering Evening IOP Treatment
The LUNA program follows a three-day intensive outpatient treatment model which includes group therapy sessions Tuesday to Thursday between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
At the time of intake, a thorough initial assessment is completed to determine appropriate clinical recommendations. LUNA implements the CAST Alignment Model (CAM) that includes integrated activities, support, and treatment.
CAM is a curriculum of themes that emphasize evidence-based treatment that may include:
LUNA includes participation in group therapy sessions. Also, a typical treatment plan includes a weekly individual session with a clinician or substance use counselor. Clients are invited to participate in activities and therapeutic homework assignments designed to examine unhealthy beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.
Individuals learn to identify triggers, develop healthy coping skills, and build a relapse prevention plan. An effective aftercare plan is critical to maintaining lifelong sobriety.
LUNA IOP group therapy online offers the opportunity for small groups of clients to meet regularly in a safe structured environment where interaction is facilitated by a clinician. While guiding the group in self-discovery, the clinician also encourages group participation.
Many find that interacting in a group setting is more natural than one-on-one counseling and it affords participants the chance to experience empathy for group members and to release the notion that they are alone in their struggles.
Feedback from group members allows for compassion, constructive suggestions, insights, and a sense of camaraderie to develop and aid the healing process.
In addition to group therapy, each client is assigned a primary therapist to meet weekly for a one-on-one session. During these one-on-one sessions, clients have the opportunity to explore more intimate issues and gain insight into action steps to meet the client’s treatment goals.
The primary therapist can also help the client connect with additional services such as a Psychiatrist, Medical Doctor, or other specialists if needed.
At CAST Centers we believe recovery and healing involve a support system so the client and the primary therapist will also connect with family members or other supportive people that the client would like to involve as appropriate.
We realize not everyone can access in-person treatment services. CAST Centers’ LUNA evening IOP provides the opportunity for high-level care in the comfort and privacy of your home. Contact us today to learn more about our LUNA evening IOP and other treatment programs in the Los Angeles area.
